Elizabeth Hurley admits having her son Damian direct her raunchy sex scene in new film Strictly Confidential made her feel more comfortable.
The actress, 58, stars in her son’s directorial debut, which sees her appearing in several steamy lesbian sex scenes with co-star Pear Chiravara.
And during an appearance on Friday’s Loose Women, Elizabeth said she would love to work with Damian again on future projects, because it’s important to “trust” the people you work with.
Damian said jokingly: ‘It’s quite a family affair. Now I just want to run my family!’
Elizabeth adds: “As an actress, you really have to trust the people you work with, the people behind the camera, you have to trust everyone.”

‘And having a family member at your camp by your side when doing a sensitive scene means I can let go of some inhibitions. It’s good to know that no one is going to exploit you.
‘Maybe I’ll just let you (Damien) lead me’
Elizabeth and her son Damian found themselves under fire after he directed their raunchy lesbian sex scene on Strictly Confidential.
Elizabeth attracted attention for her steamy scene with another woman in the racy trailer for her upcoming film Strictly Confidential; which was directed by her son Damián.
But the star insists it wasn’t just an “exciting” moment but an important part of the film’s plot.
In Damian’s directorial debut, Elizabeth plays a mother named Lily who hosts her daughter’s friends at her Caribbean estate a year after the mysterious deaths of her daughter and her husband.
During the trip, several secrets are discovered, including Lily’s love affair with her daughter’s friend.
Of the steamy sex scene between the pair, Elizabeth told TooFab: “Well, it was a very important part of the narrative when Mia, our protagonist, is on this quest to find out why her best friend (the daughter of the character of Elizabeth) committed suicide.
‘It was so integral (the narrative) that the actual physical filming wasn’t even something we really talked about.
“We just knew that the impact it would have on the story and the rest was just our job.”
During an appearance on Friday’s Loose Women, Elizabeth said she would love to work with Damian on future projects.

She insists that the scene is not included simply for shock value, adding that she always stays away from films that have lewd moments to stun audiences.
Elizabeth, 58, conceived her only child during a brief relationship with Steve, shortly after splitting from Hugh Grant in 2000.
She gave birth to Damián in 2002, but the businessman questioned paternity, claiming that at that time they had a non-exclusive relationship.
Although a DNA test showed that Bing was Damian’s father, he was not part of her life and it is believed that they never even met. Bing died in 2020 when he jumped from the 27th floor of his Los Angeles apartment building.
Isabel told Loose Women hosts Kaye Adams, Linda Robson, Judi Love and Frankie Bridge: ‘Damian is the unmarried son of a single mother so we spend a lot of time together and the relationship we have forged is very different to mine and my mother.
“We are still mom and son, I still scold him.”

It comes after Damian appeared alongside his mother on The One Show, where Elizabeth said starring in intimate scenes on Strictly Confidential was “comfortable” as “she had been filmed by him since he gave her her first camera”.
The actress said her son first filmed her when he was ten years old and had been “filming her ever since.” She said: ‘She wrote sketches and initially small baby films and gradually made bigger films.
Damian was dressed in a blue knit sweater, while Elizabeth showed off her figure in a brown midi dress.
Elizabeth was seen hanging out with Damian on Friday ahead of an appearance on Virgin Radio.
The mother-son duo looked stylish in matching flare pants for the outing.
“I always said I would be in his first movie, and because he filmed me so much and because I often made him take pictures of me all the time, it just seemed like nothing. It was a very low-budget movie. It was just do it, knock him out, and get going. ‘
Damian added: ‘This has been a whirlwind. He was so amazing. “It was really surprising that we had tons of family and friends.”
Speaking about filming the film’s steamy scenes, which include lesbian sex, Liz said: “Everyone knows that it’s not actually sexy to film any kind of intimate scene. It’s just technical. And we had rehearsed it. Damian did it very comfortable. It was nothing.’
Liz was joined by her ex Hugh Grant at the film’s screening in London on Wednesday, wearing a daring green sequin dress.
Damian defended his decision to direct his mother in the film’s raunchiest moments and revealed that they didn’t even have an intimacy coordinator on set.
“What was really nice was that in the audience, for all my friends and family, was that every single person knew him from the day he was born,” Liz said.
“So to see him do this… it felt really good.”
She added: ‘I think that was the most nervous I’ve ever seen you (Damian).’
However, the production was not without its hiccups, as the mother and son revealed that they had trouble shipping the costumes to the film’s filming location in St Kitts and Nevis.
Damian revealed his ‘godfather’ was forced to smuggle 80 bikinis after they were stopped by customs.

Damian added: ‘This has been a whirlwind. He was so amazing. “It was really surprising that we had tons of family and friends.”
Damian said: ‘This was about a week before we started filming. I think about 80% of our costumes were denied entry at the border and sent back to the US.
‘There aren’t really costume shops. There is no infrastructure there for a film.
“So I convinced my godfather to bring about a hundred costumes, I smuggled them in the suitcase and everyone wanted their bikinis.
“So my best man was standing there and said, ‘Of course these 80 bikinis are mine.’ What are you talking about? And they did it.”
When asked if it was Hugh, he replied: “He’s not the bikini smuggler, but he’s a godfather.”
Strictly Confidential was released in cinemas and Prime Video on April 5 in the US and will be released on May 13 on digital platforms in the UK.
