Given what happened, you wouldn’t blame Aryna Sabalenka if she wanted to pull out of the Miami Open.
But she decided to continue her preparation for the Miami Open and was photographed training this week.
Before her round of 16 match against her best friend, Paula Badosa of Spain, on Friday, Sabalenka took to the court to work on her forehand and serve Wednesday afternoon.
Despite her grief, the Belarusian tennis star focused on her training with her coaches.
At one point, Sabalenka, who appeared to be grimacing at times, wiped her face with an orange towel as she took a break on a courtside bench.
