GB News star Eamonn Holmes criticized Phillip Schofield ahead of his return to TV, saying he is “very proud to have thrown him under the bus”.
While discussing Schofield’s much-maligned television return on Channel 5’s Cast Away, Holmes, 64, made her feelings clear.
When co-presenter Isobel Webster revealed on GB News Breakfast on Monday that Schofield claimed he had been “thrown under the bus”, Holmes was quick to respond: “Well, if I’m one of the people who threw him under the bus, I’m very proud to have done it…
“This man is addicted to fame, absolutely addicted to fame.”
He later added that Schofield “deserves to be in exile.”

Phillip will tell his side of the story in his new Channel 5 show Cast Away, airing on Monday night at 9pm.
In his much-criticized television return to Channel 5’s Cast Away, Schofield refers to himself as the “ashamed and disgraced Philip Schofield, who had an affair.”
The 62-year-old said: “Interestingly, I think one or two TV presenters could have done exactly the same thing.” The difference is heterosexual. It is not unusual for there to be differences between age groups in the gay world.’

‘Why does The Sun dedicate two pages to it? I guess it sells newspapers, but really, is that the most important thing in newspapers?
Trying to bring some balance to the discussion, while Eamonn remained silent, Isabel continued: ‘Well, he was one of our most prominent presenters in the country, married with two children when the scandal emerged.
“She lost all her TV work, including Dancing On Ice, she fell out with her one-time best friend and co-presenter Holly Willoughby, who also, frankly, didn’t she lose her job because of all this?”
When Norman sarcastically replied: “My heart bleeds,” Eamonn couldn’t help but burst out laughing as he poked fun at Phillip Schofield’s plight.

Eamonn’s reaction will come as no surprise to audiences after the couple’s long and bitter feud.
