Agnifilo, a former Manhattan deputy district attorney, told the outlet that Combs plans to “fight this case not only for himself, but for others in a similar position” who also face government persecution.

His attorney also said Combs has his family in mind and wants to show them that he is “the same man they have always known.”

Agnifolo previously said the Bad Boy Records founder is “eager” to testify.

“I don’t know if I could keep him off the stand,” he said. “I think he’s very eager to tell his story. And I think he will tell every part of his story.”

He shared that Combs also wants to tell his side of the story regarding the 2016 hotel security footage of him attacking his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

“He has his story and he has a story that I think only he can tell the way he can tell it in real time,” Agnifilo told the outlet. And it is a human story. It’s a love story. It is a story of pain. It is a story of heartbreak.”

He is also expected to be questioned about his extortion parties.

On September 16, Combs was indicted in New York City for racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

He pleaded not guilty to all three charges and was denied bail.

The judge presiding over his case agreed with prosecutors that he was a serious risk of flight and that he represented a danger to others.

This comes after Agnifilo explained the alleged motive behind the ‘1,000 bottles’ of baby oil and lubricant that authorities found at Combs’ homes in Miami and Los Angeles.

“I don’t think it was 1,000. I think it was a lot. I mean, there’s a Costco right down the street. I think Americans buy in bulk, as we know,” he told the New York Post.

Costco later weighed in and criticized the allegations in a statement to TMZsaying that they do not sell baby oil in any of their US retail stores.

Last week, Combs was placed on suicide watch after being denied bail.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Institute of Corrections, suicide watch is when “supervisory precautions are taken for suicidal inmates who require frequent observation.”

However, Combs remains positive, according to his attorney.

“He’s focused on his defense,” he said before adding that Combs “has accepted the fact that this is where he is for now.”
