Demi Moore showed off her age-defying look by recreating her iconic striptease pose 28 years later.

The 61-year-old actress sat seductively on a chair dressed only in a black blazer and satin panties in a nod to the 1996 film.

Protagonist September issue of Interview magazineDemi and photographer Petra Collins drew inspiration from the film for the photo shoot.

Demi became the highest-paid actress in Hollywood when she received $12.5 million for leading the cast of Striptease.

The black comedy starred the actress as an FBI agent who finds herself out of work and turns to stripping at a Miami club called Eager Beaver.

Although the film was ridiculed by critics, it managed to rake in a respectable profit thanks to the appeal of Demi’s topless scenes.

In one famous scene, Demi removed her bra while giving a private dance to a congressman played by Burt Reynolds.

Striptease director Andrew Bergman, who also co-wrote Blazing Saddles, later commented that his film with Demi “was more successful than almost anything I’ve ever been in. All the supporting material was gigantic.”

He told Entertainment Weekly with a laugh: “People were like, ‘I wouldn’t want to see him dead,’ and then all of a sudden when it’s available in a rental store, they’re like, ‘I’ll buy Schindler’s List and Striptease. ‘ It’s like when you’re a kid and you buy condoms at a drugstore, but you also buy 12 tubes of toothpaste.”

However, the film was a critical failure that damaged Demi’s career, fueling criticism that she was flaunting her body excessively.

Prankster Paul Kaye, aka Dennis Pennis, approached Demi on a red carpet the year Striptease was released and asked, “Under any circumstances, if it wasn’t gratuitous and was done in good taste, would you consider keeping your clothes on in a movie?”

Demi didn’t find the joke funny and walked away.

The actress said she was ‘moved’ when she read the script for the film.

Demi felt it was “a unique way to explore this theme of aging, of societal conditioning, of what I also see as the pressure of the idealized woman by the man that we, as women, have adopted.”

She continued: “At its core, what it’s really about is what we do to ourselves, and I loved that it was illustrated in such a physical way, showing that violence with what we do with our thoughts, how we attack ourselves and distort things,” she said.

‘There is great power in knowing that what we do to ourselves is a choice and that we can make a different choice.

“And for those who aren’t looking for a deep message, it’s just entertaining.”
