Death In Paradise’s Ralph Little confirms he’ll be returning to screens as Dee Neville Parker

Date:

It was recently confirmed that “Death in Paradise” will be entering two more seasons.

And now, leading man Ralph Little has confirmed to fans that he will also return for upcoming episodes as Dee Neville Parker.

The 43-year-old actor revealed this week that contracts have been “signed and sealed” for his return, as he is set to begin filming the BBC crime show this year.

While the broadcaster confirmed additional seasons this past February, along with a Christmas special, it has yet to be announced if Ralph will reprise his role.

Taking to Instagram with a Live video, the actor teased fans with the post: “I’m delighted to say I’ll be back and will be playing Neville Parker again for Series 13.”

During the filming of the video, Ralph met with fans as he answered their questions while also announcing his future on the show.

He began, “I said I had an ad to do and I’m doing it, and I’ve been looking forward to making that ad for a while.”

Follow-up: “And a lot of you will go ‘But wait, we kind of knew that,'” But that wasn’t officially said, it wasn’t officially said, so here it is.

Contracts signed and sealed. There is another series of Death in Paradise filmed this year and I am happy to say that I will be back and will be playing Neville Parker again in series 13′.

Fans were excited about the news when they took to the comments section, with one writing: ‘Yeah!! I’m so excited you’re coming back for another series’.

“So glad you’re staying… I spent most of last season convinced you were leaving! Neville is my favorite DI since Humphrey,” another wrote.

While a third echoed this by calling Ralph’s character “a treat,” he wrote: “Glad you’re staying! Your character development is only equal to Ben Miller Richard’s character development in the early shows! It’s been fun watching it unfold.”

Death in Heaven is one of the best-selling British dramas. Over the past 10 years, BBC Studios has distributed the show to more than 240 territories around the world including Australia, France, South Africa and the United States.

The show just aired its 12th season, but viewers can expect to return to the fictional St. Mary’s Island soon, with BBC confirming the news in February.

Set in the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe, it follows the character Ralph – de Neville Parker – and his team as they fight crime.

Lindsay Salt, Director of BBC Drama revealed: ‘With its sparkling blend of mystery, humor and heart, Death In Paradise continues to delight the millions of us who make the trek back to St Mary’s with each sun-drenched episode.

“It is a program that is going from strength to strength, and I couldn’t be happier that it will return for two more series and specials on BBC One and iPlayer.”

Tim Key, executive producer from Red Planet Pictures, added: ‘The response to series 12 has been amazing, so we’re thrilled to be back in Guadeloupe for at least two more series.

We have a wonderful and delightful Christmas special in store and then Series 13 kicks off with Episode 100, so we have plenty of surprises ready to celebrate this milestone. We have huge plans for the future and we can’t wait to start working again.

It is believed that the new series will be released in January 2024, after filming later this year.
