Davina McCall has responded to body shamers on Instagram after she was accused of being “too skinny” this week.

The former Big Brother presenter, 56, shared a video response to the comments which she said had left her “furious”.

Davina slammed the “cruel” trolls who she said she hoped would be celebrities simply to “take” the jibes before declaring that she “felt and looked absolutely fucking great.”

Telling fans: ‘I thought I’d do a quick post about the kind of abuse I’m getting, actually, about my weight. “It’s really frustrating.”

“I feel like people post these things and then there are no consequences because they can post whatever they want and be cruel and I have to accept it.” In fact, I sat there fuming, so I thought I’d take it out here.’

She continued: ‘I am a 5ft 6in woman who weighs 61kg. I don’t diet. Army. “I eat relatively healthy and enjoy sharing that journey with people.”

“This year I turn 57 and I’m happy with the way I look and I feel fucking great.” And so I thought I’d post that there.”

“I can’t really do much with my neck and my face unless I fill them with filler. I don’t know what to do with my neck, it’s my neck. And maybe the lighting was bad or something and everyone, but everything What do you have? What I have to do is look at the rest of my posts on my page and check that I’m not sick.”

Before concluding: But this was like horrible. So I’ll leave it there and just say maybe think before you post something. Wouldn’t it be better to say something positive? And if you can’t say something positive, don’t bother.’

She captioned the post: “I’ll probably regret posting this.” I usually never do this. “I’ll probably leave it here for a while and then delete it.”

Fans and famous friends quickly rushed to her defence, with Amanda Holden writing: ‘F*** them darling.’

While Loose Women’s Kaye Adams said: ‘it’s not about you Davina, it’s about them.’ You’re great just the way you are.’
