Country singer Dave Loggins, author of the album Masters Augusta Golf Tournament Theme Song and had a solo hit with the 1974 song Please Come to Boston, died at the age of 76.
The musical artist died on Wednesday in Nashville, Tennessee, at Alive Hospice, according to The Tennessean.
According to the outlet, Loggins has the distinction of being “the only independent artist” to have won a CMA award. He received the aforementioned honors in 1986 for his duet with Anne Murray titled Nobody Loves Me Like You Do.
According to the paper, a funeral will not be held for Loggins at his personal request.
In lieu of flowers, Loggins’ family said donations can be made to the nonprofit. Living Hospice on behalf of the singer.
