Later in the interview, Danny also made the surprising confession that he is doing hot yoga with his real wife Joanne Mas to clean his ‘nutty brain’.

In a conversation with hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, Danny said: “It’s a real shock who’s going, I tell you. I think we have taken the soap to a new level.

‘Each episode starts with the disaster and we jump back seven hours earlier and then it is four different characters and their routes to be on the boat, and why they are there and what their storyline is.

“It’s very smart. We are very proud of it. We knew we were doing something special. It is really inspiring. I wish we could keep every EP at this level. “

Monday night’s episode began the week in style with the Carters’ boat party on the River Thames thrown into chaos as the ship began to sink, and Mick’s drunk wife Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) is stuck on the boat.

Mick hurried to save her, but when the final theme sounded, the couple sat up to their necks and left for fear of their lives.

Danny revealed the tense scenes were recorded in a water tank with crew members spraying ‘pea juice’ to make the water look like the color of the Thames, and he joked that he looked ‘like Dot Cotton’ after 10 hours of filming days in dirty looking fluid.

He said: ‘It took six weeks to film it. It usually takes about 10 days to film four episodes, so we spread it over Christmas.

“We put it in a water tank. We all thought we were going to Pinewood and we ended up in Basildon.

“The tank was OK, it was nice and warm. They injected pea juice into it to make it look like the Thames.

The soccer factory star said, “He could change his mind and go,” You know what, I love you, but I have to do the issues. ‘No, of course. He loves his wife. “

It has been confirmed that one character will die this week – and Danny even joked that Mick would meet his maker.

He joked: “It is me, I die. I was upset. They called me upstairs, I’m going strong and I’m happy with it … no, listen. You know I can’t explain it. “

Elsewhere during the chat, Danny revealed his surprising new hobby to help de-stress.

“I like a little yoga, I need something to fix my brain, I kind of have a nutty brain,” he said.

‘My wife and I do a bit of hot yoga, a good way of attaching. It is a real test of your soul. I discovered it later in life, but it really helped me. “

Danny said to Eamonn: “You have to pack a few bags and go with me. A few straight men involved in a little yoga, what do you think? “

Eamonn’s wife Ruth intervened: “You wouldn’t sit in a hot tub with me!”
