Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Sophy Laufer has revealed exactly how she achieves her perfect, full-on facial glam for practice and beyond — and some of the products she uses aren’t expensive, either.

Laufer has been part of the 36-person elite cheerleading squad since 2022, a team that has been making headlines in recent weeks following the June premiere of her juicy new Netflix docuseries, America’s Sweethearts.

The seven-episode show documents the behind-the-scenes of the audition process and their 2023 season, providing a deeper look into what it really takes to become a member of this iconic Texas team.

The gripping series also revealed several secrets about the ins and outs of their everyday lives, including the fact that the cheerleaders do their own makeup on game days.

And to practice, they often sport a glamorous face, a skill Laufer has mastered.

But even if you’re not going for DCC like Laufer does, you can still achieve the look, as she walked viewers through her glam in a detailed tutorial recently posted to her website. TikTok Page.

To kick off her flawless makeup routine, Laufer revealed she uses Elf’s $14 Halo Glow Liquid Filter Complexion Booster around her forehead, chin, and cheeks.

She likes to use the drugstore product instead of a foundation, the DCC star explained.

“I don’t use primer, I’ve tried different ones and I feel like they don’t do anything,” she explained.

“I usually do my makeup in a hurry, so if I feel like a step isn’t really helping, I’d rather not do it,” Laufer added.

Once she applied the Halo Glow Elf to her face, she blended it out with a makeup sponge and then applied a bit of the $29 Makeup By Mario Concealer under her eyes and forehead.

“I love this concealer, it’s super creamy and has good coverage but isn’t too cakey,” she said.

‘I just pat it on and don’t blend it too much because I’m applying foundation on top of it, so it’s okay if it doesn’t blend too much because the foundation will blend everything out.’

Laufer shared her in-depth makeup routine, including all the products she uses, in a new video posted to her TikTok page.

  • Elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter Complexion Booster – $14
  • Makeup By Mario Concealer – $29
  • Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation: $69
  • Patrick Ta Major Sculpt Cream & Powder Bronzer Duo in She’s Sculpted – $40
  • Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Setting Powder in Sponge Cake: $38
  • Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder: $48
  • Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer: $36

Laufer shared that she uses the $69 Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation to achieve her flawless complexion, a favorite that she’s had in her makeup bag for years.

“I love this foundation and it’s really nice if you don’t have super oily skin. It gives you a bit of a glowy finish, but I feel like it’s very skin-like and has good coverage as well,” she shared.

And the foundation isn’t just a hit with Laufer: her mother and sister use it, too.

Moving on to contour, the entertainer pulled out Patrick Ta’s $40 Major Sculpt Crème Contour & Powder Bronzer Duo in the shade She’s Sculpted, and opted for the cream side to apply to her cheekbones with a large, fluffy brush.

She also applied a little on the side of her forehead and explained that she always likes to use a large brush because it sets the product and ensures nothing slips.

Then, it was time to reapply the Makeup by Mario concealer to highlight certain areas of the face, such as the Cupid’s bow and between the eyebrows.

Laufer also puts it all over her nose, as it tends to turn red, the host explained, while also revealing another DCC secret.

“Another tip, I’m also very light and delicate when I do my creams because you can always add more, and I feel like applying light layers gives you a more natural, flawless finish than putting on a huge, thick, cakey layer,” Laufer offered.

Laufer praised Patrick Ta's cream and powder bronzing duo

Laufer is a big fan of the Armani foundation, as are her mother and sister.

Two of Laufer’s favorite products included Patrick Ta’s Major Sculpt Crème Contour & Powder Bronzer Duo in She’s Sculpted for $40 and Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation for $69.

Laufer made sure to put a little bronzer on the side of her forehead, explaining that she always likes to use a large brush because it sets the product and ensures nothing slides off.

To finish the eye area, she applied a bit of Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder $38 in Pound Cake under her eyes using a powder puff.

But Laufer doesn’t like to waste product, so she takes the leftovers from the powder puff and blends them over the rest of her face to set her cream makeup.

Before putting on her shimmery eyeshadow (which she promised to show in a separate tutorial), she applies another layer of setting powder, letting it “bake” to give the under-eye area a “lifted” effect.

“It’s also when I use a lot of powder, and if I have a blemish or a red spot, I add more powder,” Laufer said.

“It makes you look a little crazy for a second, but I promise you this is my biggest trick for keeping blemishes covered, because this powder will set them and keep them that way.”

Once her face has been sufficiently “baked,” she picks up some of Charlotte Tilbury’s $48 Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder on a brush, which she uses to dust off the Huda Beauty powder.

The next step was to add some extra color by applying a darker shade of Charlotte Tilbury powder to her cheeks and face, then contouring with the powder side of her Patrick Ta palette.

To contour your nose, use a small brush to apply a little Benefit Cosmetics $36 Hoola Bronzer underneath the tip and sides of your nose, then finish it off with a little concealer on the tip and bridge.

Finally, to achieve DCC's signature nude pink lip, she used a swipe of the $38 Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Wedding Belles.

“It’s definitely more of a glamorous look but it’s also about finding that balance for your face, using lashes that accentuate but don’t overemphasize your eyes,” she explained.
