When the couple were asked if they agreed with the statement “I can do a better impression of the person in front of me than they do of me,” both Grande, 31, and Erivo moved their water glasses to a place in the table with the words “Strongly disagree” were written.

“I think you underestimate your impersonation skills,” the Thank U, Next singer told her friend.

“I can’t,” Erivo said. “I think you underestimate them,” Grande reaffirmed.

“Look what I’m saying,” Grande told the interviewer, then, turning to Erivo, she said, “there you go.”

‘That’s good?’ the Tony winner asked. ‘Yes, that was great!’ declared Grande. “That was beautiful.”

“Beautiful,” Erivo repeated in her best Ariana voice.

The Into You artist continued, “He has secret impersonations and he’s like, ‘I don’t do impersonations, that’s not my thing,’ and then he comes out and likes the best impersonation I’ve ever heard.”

“It will all be revealed on your SNL,” Grande told the Drama Desk Award winner.

Grande impersonated several people during her own episode of Saturday Night Live, including one of actress Jennifer Coolidge.

“Good,” Erivo admitted. “Mark my words,” Grande said.

“Your imitations are spot on,” Erivo complemented her co-star. “Thank you,” he said.
