Cristiano Ronaldo’s first Champions League game after returning to Manchester United is away to Young Boys on September 14.
Ronaldo has won the Champions League five times in his career and will begin his quest to bring European glory back to United in Switzerland.
The following evening, Liverpool kick off their group stage campaign at home against AC Milan, which they defeated in the 2005 final but lost in the same stage in 2007.
Defending champions Chelsea will start at home against Zenit St. Petersburg on September 14, while Manchester City will host RB Leipzig a day later.
On September 28, City will face Paris Saint-Germain in a much-anticipated clash, with Lionel Messi looking to help his new side defeat Pep Guardiola’s side. The return at the Etihad Stadium is on November 24.
Manchester United are out for revenge against Villarreal, who defeated them on penalties in last season’s Europa League final. They will face each other at Old Trafford on September 29 and face off in Spain on November 23.
Liverpool will face Atlético Madrid on October 19 and receive them at Anfield on November 3.
Chelsea will travel to Juventus on September 29 and play them at Stamford Bridge on November 23.
Outside the English club, Barcelona will play at home against Bayern Munich on September 14 and away on September 29.
