Criminal Minds: Evolution star Zach Gilford ran errands in Los Angeles last Friday with his seven-year-old daughter, Zeppelin Adele Gilford, just four days after suffering a severe allergic reaction.
The Friday Night Lights alum, who turns 43 next month, appears to have made a miraculous recovery as the substantial swelling around his eyes disappeared.
Last Monday, Zach shocked his 72,000 Instagram followers by posting images of what appeared to be angioedema, which can cause life-threatening anaphylaxis if the swelling blocks the airway.
“Soooo much fun yesterday,” Gilford captioned her Instastories on Tuesday.
‘Thank goodness we finished @criminalminds (season 18 on December 12). “Thank you to all the nurses, doctors and staff at @huntingtonhospital for getting my face back to normal… still a little way to go.”
Fortunately for the Illinois-born actor, who did not disclose his allergy, angioedema usually resolves within 24 hours of taking antibiotics, antihistamines and corticosteroids.

Next Sunday, Zach and his wife Kiele Sánchez will celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary after originally meeting on the set of the 2010 television pilot Matadors.
The 47-year-old actress managed to land a recurring role as Sydney Volt, the wife of prolific serial killer Elias Volt, played by Gilford.
“It’s actually more difficult,” said The Fall of the House of Usher actor Us weekly last August to work with Kiele.
‘It’s harder because I don’t want to hold a gun to my wife’s head… It turns out the nature of these scenes was pretty disgusting. Honestly, all of those scenes are so fucked up. I will only speak for myself. Obviously, Kiele can speak for herself, but it felt gross (bringing those darker moments to life).’
Zach even had the opportunity to direct the July 18 episode of Jeff Davis and Erica Messer’s police procedural titled ‘North Star.’
“I only signed a one-year contract,” Gilford remembered.
‘When they were negotiating my contract, I said, “Can I direct an episode?” So it worked. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve followed almost every show I’ve worked on and it’s hard to get that spot, especially on something like this where there are only 10 (episodes).
‘But they are very supportive of the direction of the cast. Half of the episodes were directed by the cast this season. It was a lot of fun.’
The Northwestern University graduate also appeared in Taylor Swift’s 2011 music video for Ours, but is probably best remembered for playing teenage footballer Matt Saracen on the NBC drama Friday Night Lights, which aired for five seasons between 2006 and 2011.
