Lily-Rose Depp has given a rare insight into her childhood with her brother Jack and her famous parents – Hollywood heavyweight Johnny Depp, 61, and French actress Vanessa Paradis, 51.
Speaking with her friend Natalie Portman, whom she has known since she was a child, for Interview MagazineLily-Rose admitted her latest role in vampire film Nosferatu has earned her some “cool” points with her little brother Jack, 22.
Jack has stayed out of the spotlight unlike his famous family, but Lily-Rose, 25, has called him “the coolest person ever” and says she fully supports his latest leading role.
“This one in particular was important to me, because my brother and I were super obsessed with Dracula when we were younger. My brother used to dress up as Dracula when he was a kid to school,” Lily-Rose recalled.
“I thought, ‘Wow, if I get this role, my brother will finally think I’m cool,'” she added. “It’s the classic thing where when you have a younger brother, they think you’re cool when you’re a kid, and then when you get older, now I think he’s cool, and I’m like, ‘Let’s hang out!’ ” And he’s like, ‘I’m busy.’ But yeah, I think I scored some points with this one.”
Lily-Rose also has a close relationship with her parents and told her friend Natalie that she is “very grateful” to them for making her and Jack’s childhood as normal as possible despite their nomadic lifestyle.

Speaking to Interview magazine, Lily-Rose admitted that her latest role in vampire film Nosferatu has earned her some “cool” points with her little brother Jack, 22 (pictured together as children).
“I definitely want to have children and when that time comes, I will bring them.” “I grew up that way, and even though there were times where I thought, ‘I want to be in school with my friends,’ now that I’m older, I’m very grateful,” she explained of her upbringing on movie sets.
‘Not only have I traveled a lot, thanks to my parents having to bring me, but also because of what I now see as the work they put into making sure my brother and I had a life in these places that weren’t ours. ‘
“At the time I wouldn’t have seen it, but now I see it as a conscious effort my parents were making to make my brother and I feel at home.”
Unlike Johnny and now Lily-Rose, Jack stayed out of the spotlight and didn’t seem too interested in following in his father’s footsteps in 2014.
“My son, Jack, has always been a very talented cartoonist,” Johnny told the Philippine Daily Inquirer at the time.
‘He draws really, really well. He also plays music really well. He’s got a good feeling for that. Aside from school plays and stuff, he hasn’t shown any desire to become an actor. Ugh.’
Johnny also shared with Rolling Stone in 2018 that his son was part of a band called Clown Boner, in which he follows in his father’s footsteps by playing guitar.
Meanwhile, Lily-Rose previously criticized the idea of having landed roles due to family connections, but admitted she “had a foot in the door” thanks to Johnny and Vanessa.
