The cricketer, 38, is treating the lovebirds to a three-course dining experience at The Tap and Run, which he co-owns with England team-mate Harry Gurney, in Upper Broughton, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.

Guests can enjoy a starter, main course and dessert at the bar overlooking the beautiful Bradgate Park.

But visitors could be left with a sour taste in their mouths after discovering the luxury food will set They get £98.85 back.

What surprises fans the most is that the surprising price doesn’t even include drinks.

The menu includes a starter of baked Camembert with honey, sticky fig chutney, sourdough bread and multigrain toast which costs £17.95.

Couples can then move on to the surf and turf main course, which consists of a 28-day dry-aged filet and garlic prawns.

The £63.95 sharing plate comes with dauphinoise potatoes, roasted tomatoes, green beans and Bernaise sauce.

The romantic meal ends with a £16.95 dessert consisting of a triple chocolate brownie, white chocolate Eton Mess and chocolate dipped strawberries.

The pudding to be made on February 14 will cost diners £16.95.

And customers have made their feelings clear: Sarah Jackson, 45, said: “£100 before thinking about a drink.”

Another, named Lisa, added: “It’s very expensive.”

Cocktails in the pub cost around £12.95, while champagne can cost £119.95 a bottle.

But not everyone was furious, with some saying the tasty offering sounds “amazing”. FEMAIL has contacted Tap and Run for comment.

But the star didn’t let the fire stop him and reopened the venue after a £1million refurbishment.

And it was an emotional experience for the two former England cricketers, whose business partner Harry revealed at the time: ‘The prospect of sitting down with a glass of wine at the new Tap and Run, frankly, puts a lump in my throat. .

Broad went to the scene after the game to assess things and said: “Parts of the roof had fallen to the lower floor, all the windows were blown out and it showed the terrible damage a fire can cause.”

“I have always had the ability to focus on what is in front of me and I knew that during the test match I couldn’t control anything other than contacting the staff and checking that everyone was okay,” he added.

‘I feel sorry for the villagers, because they really embraced us. But if everything goes as planned, we’ll make it special again.”
