Driver has to appear in court after he was allegedly caught driving more than three times over the legal limit after crashing into an electrical box earlier this year.

The 44-year-old man was driving a Kia sedan on Prospect Highway, Seven Hills, on April 16 when he climbed a curb and crashed into a box.

Officers associated with Blacktown Police Area Command attended the scene and spoke to the driver, where he underwent a roadside breath test and gave a positive result.

The man was arrested and taken to the Blacktown Police Station, where he underwent a breath analysis and reportedly returned a value of 0.155, more than three and a half times the legal limit.

The man is due to appear in court in Blacktown on June 1.

The man’s driver’s license was also revoked.
