There’s not much, but at least some news on the controversial survival game The Day Before.
The ambitious survival game The Day Before is controversial and not everyone believes that developer Fntastic can live up to expectations. Especially given the chaotic past few months surrounding the promised gameplay debacle, the sudden disappearance of Steam, a legal battle over a calendar app, and questionable employee policies.
Now the developers are reporting on the official discord server back with two new promises. According to moderator Kentain, the news is as follows:
- There is a beta: Before release, there will be a beta phase during which players can try The Day Before and get an idea of the game themselves.
- There are no more shifts: The release planned for November 10, 2023 is set in stone, according to the developers there will be no further postponement.
Beta for The Day Before: What is known?
The Day Before should get a beta phase. Apparently, this will happen before the game’s release in November 2023, but there are no details beyond that. For example, we don’t know when and in what capacity interested players can participate and how to get keys.
In this regard, we have no choice but to wait and stay tuned for Fntastic to share additional information on the planned The Day Before beta.

No more release postponements
The Day Before is scheduled for release on November 10, 2023 and according to Kentain, that’s set in stone too. Before that, there had already been two major release shifts: The Day Before was originally supposed to be released in June 2022, then on March 1, 2023. Both release dates could not be met.
On Discord, the moderator now officially promises:
The game will officially release on November 10, 2023 without further delays.
By the way: The Day Before is currently not available on Steam, and Kentain also comments on this in another message. Accordingly, the team is working on bringing The Day Before back to the Valve platform. It remains to be seen whether this will end the legal dispute with the operator of a calendar app of the same name.
