Conor Maynard asked his social media followers for help over Christmas after his ex Charlotte Chilton claimed she has yet to see their newborn daughter.
Chilton, 33, a former contestant on Channel 4’s The Traitors, welcomed daughter Penelope in September after a one-night stand with Maynard.
But she insists the singer cheated on her online after discovering she was pregnant and has yet to express any interest in the child, who is understood to have suffered “stomach problems” since his birth.
Maynard, 32, took to Instagram in December (his first social media activity in a month) and admitted he was struggling emotionally and was on the fence about using prescription medications.
Addressing his followers, he wrote: ‘Has anyone here ever been prescribed diazepam, but their anxiety is so bad that they are literally too anxious to take it?
‘Please contact us if you have ever been in this position. “I can’t believe I’m posting this, but at this point, I’m not sure what else to do.”

Chilton revealed in June that the singer, whose sister is dating The Traitors winner Harry Clarke, was the father of her unborn child. She said he cheated on her after discovering she was pregnant and subsequently refused to acknowledge the baby.
talking to OK!she said: ‘He knows (I have given birth) I didn’t hear anything, I had a real torment about whether to contact him when she was here or not.
And I thought I didn’t want to talk to him, but he has a right to know. “I knew that if I didn’t come closer people would say it didn’t bother me.”
Chilton also spoke candidly about her postpartum anxiety and the fact that Penelope takes after her father.
“There have been days where I’ve cried because I’m sitting here thinking, ‘I have a daughter who looks f***ing identical to you.'”
She continued to discuss whether she wanted Maynard to be a part of her daughter’s life, stating, “If she wants to get away from him, that’s fine, but she needs to make that decision for herself when she’s older. I’m not going to do that.” deny contact if he decides he wants to see her.

‘Thank you to everyone who has checked in to make sure I’m okay!! My heart is full.’
Appearing on Loose Women in July, Chilton claimed Maynard was “cheating” on her and when asked if she was in contact with him, she replied: “I’m in contact, he’s not.”
When asked if he wanted the singer to be a part of his son’s life, he said: “This is a complicated question.” I’m always torn on what’s best for her. With me and my mental health and the damage it has done to me, no.
‘But I’m an adult and I have to put her first. I would like it for her at some point in her life. I don’t think it makes much sense at this point, but it has to be Penelope’s decision.

In the post, the reality star donned a bright yellow sweater as she snuggled up to her baby girl, who looked adorable in a pink bodysuit with a white lace bow on her head.
Captioning her photo, she wrote: ‘Saturday hugs with my angel!! After some medical issues, she is very needy, but she is my little warrior princess!
“I continue to be very proud of my daughter and how she has taken these issues in her stride…we are a small team.”
