Comedian Andy Lee, who appeared on Triple M's The Rush Hour with Liesel, Liam and Dobbo on Tuesday, admitted he and his comedy partner in crime Hamish Blake had been banned for life from entering the Olympic Village.

They are the popular Australian comedy duo who aren’t afraid to push the boundaries in pursuit of laughs.

But it seems Hamish Blake and Andy Lee took things a step further during the 2012 London Olympics.

Appearing on Triple M’s Rush Hour with Liesel, Liam and Dobbo On Tuesday, Andy admitted that he and his comedy partner had been banned from the Olympic Village for life.

Andy revealed that the couple were planning to speak to Australian Olympians before the start of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

After submitting an incorrectly completed security application showing Lee’s birth date as “the date of that day,” the couple were denied entry to the village on the day of his auspicious speech.

However, Lee went on to reveal that an anonymous Australian came to the duo’s rescue, offering the comedian a pass.

“Suddenly, I walked in with someone else’s pass and we were able to sneak in, which was obviously a huge security breach at a time when they were trying to show that security was tight,” he admitted.

Olympic security, who said the pair had given the speech and had a great time with the Australian athletes, only realised the deception 90 minutes later.

“They dragged us away and put us in separate rooms and there was a lot of interrogation. We were… very quiet, and then the head of security came in,” Andy said.

After being questioned by a sympathetic Australian security chief, Andy said they both had to “accept being banned for life” from the Olympic Village.

He added that it was not the proudest moment for the pair as they saw the Australian Olympic team punished by having some away passes revoked.

“That’s why I wasn’t really proud of what happened,” Andy said.

“I hate the fact that some people have been left out.”

Triple M’s Liam Flannagan suggested starting a campaign to get the ban lifted for Brisbane 2032, before Andy joked that the pair could “double down” and try to sneak in again.
