A CNN anchor had a tense exchange over Donald Trump’s policies with former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy on Wednesday.
Kate Bolduan and Ramaswamy argued, sometimes loudly, as they compared the political agendas of Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
The former Republican candidate, who has become a staunch supporter of Trump’s campaign since dropping his own bid for the White House, attempted to clarify some of the former president’s positions as Bolduan accused him of flip-flopping.
Ramaswamy then criticized Kamala Harris’s record of policy changes.

“To use Kamala Harris’ own words against her, as I think we should, she ran for president in favor of a tax on unrealized capital gains, in favor of an abolition of — in her words — private health insurance, a ban on fracking, bans on offshore drilling,” Ramaswamy said.
“These are the kinds of policies that are not at all familiar to most Americans,” he continued. “And this is where I think the debate will be useful.”
He also called for “greater media scrutiny” of Harris, saying she needs to give more one-on-one interviews.
Bolduan, who seemed unamused, then attempted to clarify how Harris had changed her mind on policies she previously supported, such as banning private health insurance and fracking.
“Those are not their positions,” Bolduan intervened.

The former Republican candidate has also been a popular representative of the former president.
“Vivek, but on the ban on private health insurance, (Harris) has said he doesn’t believe it, and he doesn’t believe it now,” the presenter said.
‘As for the ban on fracking, he has made it clear that he no longer supports it.’
Referring to an earlier interview Harris gave to CNN, the TV host mentioned how the vice president explained her change of heart.
“I think the most important and significant aspect of my political outlook and decisions is that my values have not changed,” Harris said last week.
In 2019, during Harris’s first run for the White House, she told voters during a town hall: “There’s no question I’m in favor of banning fracking and starting with whatever we can do on day one on public lands.”
During Wednesday’s interview, the two often talked over each other during the exchange, trying to interject their point of view as the other began to speak.
“If you change your position on an issue, if you change your position – you could even say you change your position – if that is no longer allowed, that should be the death knell for a campaign,” Bolduan added. “Donald Trump has problems in that regard.”
Donald Trump said he has already decided how he will vote in Florida’s upcoming referendum on banning abortions at six weeks of gestation. “I think six weeks is a mistake,” he said. “And I’ll say that soon, but I want more than six weeks.”
The Trump campaign issued a statement clarifying its position.
He specifically pointed to Trump’s recent change of position on Florida’s ban on abortion after six weeks.
Trump previously said in an interview with DailyMail.com: “I think it should be longer than six weeks.”
The next day, the former president indicated he would vote against Florida’s measure to expand abortion care.
The Trump campaign apparently issued a statement on the initiative in the wake of the DailyMail.com report.
Ramaswamy then attempted to explain the former president’s position, saying the ballot measure was worded “vaguely.”
