Wallace, who left Fox News for CNN in 2021, was quick to criticize Trump’s performance in contrast to Biden’s in June.
“I never thought I would see a debate as devastating as the one in June, where Joe Biden basically ruined his re-election campaign. I think tonight’s debate was just as devastating.”
Wallace later claimed that Harris “made a whitewash” in substance and style, rebuking Trump on every issue presented.
“She stressed that she is the candidate for change, that we need to turn the page after a decade of division and polarization,” he added.

Liberal CNN commentator Van Jones raved about Kamala Harris’ debate against Donald Trump on Tuesday in Philadelphia, while anti-Trump Republican Chris Christie also praised the vice president.
Trump and Harris exchanged sharp remarks in the ABC News-hosted contest, drawing criticism from viewers over moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis’ refusal to fact-check Harris.

“Not only did she pass the Commander-in-Chief’s test, he failed it. You want this guy to take on a dictator? He saw the blows coming, but he couldn’t get out of the way.”
Jones concluded by stating that Harris was speaking “for the people” when she referred to her “middle-class background,” while Trump was speaking “for himself.”
Chris Christie, the former two-term New Jersey governor who ran unsuccessfully against Trump twice for the Republican nomination before ultimately turning on the former president, also praised Harris and criticized Trump.
“She was exquisitely well prepared, she set traps and he chased every rabbit down every hole instead of talking about the things he should have been talking about,” Christie told ABC News.
“This is the difference between someone who is well prepared and someone who is not prepared,” he added, saying that Trump “is going to lose the election.”
Wallace, who left Fox News to join CNN in 2021, immediately criticized Trump’s performance in contrast to Biden’s in June.
