“The good news for me is that we caught basal cell carcinoma early,” he began his Instagram post.

“And I had excellent doctors who removed the cancer and stitched me up perfectly like a high-fashion Dior,” he added.

He then addressed his more than 900,000 followers and revealed that they can avoid his fate with a simple solution.

‘The good news for you is that all of this can be avoided if you are diligent with your sun protection!’ she said.

“I got serious a little late, so now, for this old mermaid/gardener, I’ll put on my SPF 30, reapply as needed, wear long sleeves and a wide-brimmed hat,” she said.
