Christie Brinkley started her weekend early by attending the Sports Illustrated Swim 2024 issue launch and 60th anniversary celebration.
The 70-year-old actress and model was all smiles in a stunning leggy red dress at the red carpet event on Thursday, held at the Hard Rock Hotel in New York City.
The revelation comes just two months after she revealed her skin cancer diagnosis in mid-March.

Brinkley was at the event that unveiled four Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover models: Kate Upton, Chrissy Teigen, Hunter McGrady and Gayle King, making their SI Swimsuit debut at age 69.
Brinkley, of course, is no stranger to the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, making history with her three consecutive covers in 1979, 1980 and 1981, something that had never happened before.
The legendary model took to Instagram in mid-March to reveal that she was diagnosed with skin cancer.
“The good news for me is that we caught basal cell carcinoma early,” he began his Instagram post.
“And I had excellent doctors who removed the cancer and stitched me up perfectly like a high-fashion Dior,” he added.
He then addressed his more than 900,000 followers and revealed that they can avoid his fate with a simple solution.
‘The good news for you is that all of this can be avoided if you are diligent with your sun protection!’ she said.
“I got serious a little late, so now, for this old mermaid/gardener, I’ll put on my SPF 30, reapply as needed, wear long sleeves and a wide-brimmed hat,” she said.

‘And doing regular full body checkups… that’s a MUST! I was lucky to find mine, because she was accompanying one of my daughters to HER checkup,’ she said.

‘And doing regular full body checkups… that’s a MUST! I was lucky to find mine, because she was accompanying one of my daughters to HER checkup,’ she said.
‘The Doctor was looking at each freckle with a magnifying glass… it wasn’t my appointment, so he wasn’t going to say anything, but in the end I asked him if he could look at a small spot that I could feel while I applied my foundation,’ she said.
‘He took one look and knew immediately he needed a biopsy! ‘She did it right then and there!’ She exclaimed.
