Furious locals have placed a handwritten warning sign at the crash site where a Ferrari 458 Italia crashed into an $11 million mansion in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
The luxury supercar, valued at up to $500,000, crashed into a brick wall at Robertson Place in Watsons Bay, an elite suburb in Sydney’s east, at 1.15pm on Thursday.
A 55-year-old woman suffered chest injuries and was trapped in the rubble before emergency rescuers freed her.
The driver, 56, suffered minor head injuries in the accident.
Less than 24 hours after the accident, a sign was put up at the roundabout where the car went through a pedestrian railing and crashed into the boundary wall of the house.
“Speed + coke kills,” the sign said. “Slow down, idiot.”
There is no suggestion that the driver was actually speeding or taking cocaine, simply that he drives a Ferrari.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said the driver and his passenger were taken to St Vincent’s Hospital, where they remain in a stable condition.
The supercar had a private license plate and has only covered 14,000 km in total since it rolled off the production line in 2014.
A warning sign has been posted at the crash site in Watsons Bay.
An occupant of the house where the car crashed, once owned by Sydney businessman Mark Bouris, said more needed to be done to protect the community.
‘The council really needs to do something… It’s just not good enough. “The fence barrier is not strong enough,” he told Daily Mail Australia on Friday.
“We are relieved that no one was hurt.”
Images from the scene showed several police vehicles and fire trucks at the scene.
The rear of the black Ferrari could be seen partially blocking the road as a crowd of pedestrians gathered around the crash site.

Images from the scene show a strong presence of emergency services and the rear of the Ferrari visible on the sidewalk. Crowds gathered to watch as authorities worked to clear the site.
Several parts of the front exterior of the luxury vehicle were severely damaged by the impact of the collision and the hood was forced open.
The vehicle was a Ferrari 458 Italia that can cost up to $500,000 in perfect condition. According to data available from Service NSW, only 150km had been driven in the past year.
The supercar had a private license plate and only had 14,000 km on it since it came off the production line in 2014.
Bouris is understood to have sold the Watsons Bay property in 2013 for $7 million, according to real estate records.
New South Wales Police said officers were investigating the circumstances of the crash.
