Chevy Chase took to his Instagram page to announce that he was going to be a grandfather.
On Saturday, the former Saturday Night Live legend revealed that the youngest of his three daughters, Emily Chase, is expecting a baby with partner Alex Baglieri.
‘I can’t wait to be a grandfather!’ captioned the comedian, 80, who included a photo of himself with the soon-to-be parents.
He added: ‘Congratulations to my daughter @em_chases and @alex.baglieri.’
In the photo, Chevy and Alex are seen posing with their hands on Emily’s growing baby bump.
Emily is one of three daughters the Hollywood icon shares with his third wife Jayni Luke, whom he married back in 1982.

While the Chase family has a history of keeping their personal lives private, the comedian has been candid about his support for his three daughters, who also include Cydney, 41, and Caley, 39.
The acclaimed actor and comedian also has a 44-year-old son Bryan Perkins from a previous relationship with an unidentified woman.
Although the Chase family is private about many other details of their personal lives, the actor and comedian has always been candid about his support for his three daughters, whom he shares with his third and current wife, Jayni.
The star of the wildly popular National Lampoon’s Vacation film franchise and his third wife Jayni Luke were married in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles in June 1982.
The famous comedian and actor has been with his wife Jayni Chase for more than 44 years, 41 of those years as a married couple; they are pictured in New York in April 2018
The couple posed with their three daughters Cydney, 41, Caley, 39, and Emily, 36, at the Dog Years screening in New York in 2017, along with the star’s son Bryan, 44, from a previous relationship.
But the longtime couple, who have been married for more than 41 years, now live in the town of Bedford, New York, which is located in Westchester County.
Emily has yet to share the big pregnancy news herself, but last week she posted a photo on Instagram of herself, her sisters and her parents smiling ear-to-ear.
“Chevy and I have had an amazing 44 years,” Jayni said of her husband to Bedford & New Canaan Magazine before adding, “Chevy was absolutely smitten with each of our daughters and he has been a super loving and devoted father.”
She went on to say how they’ve had a life full of extraordinary friends and high profile people, but none of it comes close to how he feels about his daughters.
“It’s our three amazing daughters that mean the most to us,” she shared. “And hopefully we’ve had a positive impact on society and the world around us.”
