David Moyes is reportedly ready to rekindle his attempts to sign Manchester United defender Harry Maguire.
West Ham came close to signing the 31-year-old defender last summer, having agreed a £30m deal with the London club to sign the English defender.
That move never materialized, with the centre-back, who was stripped of the captain’s armband last season, seeking a £7m fee from the Hammers to leave the club.
Reports of Sun now claims Moyes is ready to step up his attempts to sign the defender this summer, with the outlet writing that West Ham could “make a discounted offer of between £15m and £20m”.
Maguire is out of contract at Old Trafford in June 2025 and The Sun claims Moyes is “interested in signing a defender who can win headers” and could “offer him a two or three-year deal”.

Erik ten Hag hinted that Maguire, who joined the club for a record £85million in 2019, could return for Sunday’s decisive FA Cup clash against rivals Liverpool.
“We had a good week,” said the Dutch coach. “The players you mention (Rasmus Hojlund, Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka) returned to the field, partly at the beginning of the week and had a session (on Friday) and are all training.
‘We have to see how they recover from this, but it looks good. I think (they will be able to play).’
