UEFA officials are preparing to cut the two-legged ties in their leagues this season before hosting a new final four tournament in Istanbul in an effort to finalize the current campaign, reports said.
The European governing body aims to finalize the final round of 16 tires starting August 6 before squeezing out the rest of the competition before the end of the month.
According to ASUEFA hopes to host the semi-finals and final of the Champions League in Istanbul, which will be discussed at the meeting of the organization’s Executive Committee to be held on 17 June.

HOW DOES THE ‘FINAL-FOUR’ TOURNAMENT WORK?
The tournament would be held in Turkey over a four-day period to allow the domestic seasons to end.
Clubs played a one-legged semifinal and final that would be contested in Istanbul.
The proposals will be discussed at the UEFA Executive Committee meeting to be held on 17 June.
At next month’s meeting, which was initially scheduled for May 27, proposals will be submitted where clubs still in the Champions League and Europa League will learn their fate.
Should the idea get the green light, all matches after the 16th round will be fought over in 90 minutes instead of the traditional two legs, freeing up more space on the calendar.
The mini-tournament in Istanbul would be played at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium, in an effort to reduce travel for the last four teams remaining in the league, while reportedly taking place over a four-day period.
UEFA officials are also planning to host a final tournament of four in Istanbul
The report also suggests that the Europa League restart date is set for August 6, while the Champions League will resume on Saturday, August 8.
However, approval of the plans would also allegedly mean postponing the start of next season, with footballers allowed to take vacations in September.
Due to the domino effect, the Nations League games would also be postponed in September, which means that the tournament itself could suffer a similar fate as the euro.
