Carl Froch has revealed details of a vicious voice note Anthony Joshua sent him as their recent public feud continues.

The former super-middleweight world champion has been locked in an ongoing feud with his fellow Briton that threatened to erupt after he branded the 34-year-old “pathetic”.

The words were in response to what Froch claims was a “barrage of abuse” he received on WhatsApp from the two-time world heavyweight champion.

Joshua had previously described the 47-year-old as a “jerk” in an interview before doubling down on the comments in the message exchange.

Now Froch has revealed the content of a brutal voice message from his bitter rival, while he was presenting his show on YouTube.

Joshua says, “What’s up? How’s your week going? How’s your podcast going?”

‘Quick question: when you boxed Jean Pascal for your first world title in Nottingham, Tyson Fury made his pro debut on that card, you were fighting for a vacant title, right?

—So, you didn’t beat any champion. What do you think about that? Do you feel that you were considered a champion because you fought for a vacant title?

‘So, since the title wasn’t there, it would have been a normal fight. But they threw a title in the air and you became champion.

‘You didn’t beat a champion to become a champion, if you know what I mean.

‘Do you think that victory is not irrelevant, but it doesn’t have the same importance as if you had beaten a world champion? How do you feel about that fight with Jean Pascal?’

Froch fought Pascal for the vacant WBC super-middleweight title after fellow Briton Joe Calzaghe moved up a weight class to light heavyweight.

He defeated the Canadian by unanimous decision and went on to hold multiple titles in the division.

Joshua (pictured in June) reportedly insisted on calling Froch

Joshua (pictured in June) allegedly insisted on calling Froch a “moron” in messages leaked by Froch.

Responding to Joshua’s accusations, Froch said: “Did I feel like a world champion? I had the green and gold belt.

‘When I woke up and saw the belt at the foot of my bed in the morning, I felt like a world champion.

“I know what he means. I didn’t beat the champion to become champion. That’s probably why he didn’t ask for the IBF title.”

Despite the voice note, the former super middleweight world champion says he has been getting along better with his adversary lately and that the two share a mutual “respect.” Sun reports.

The latest phase of the feud between the pair comes after The Cobra called on “plastic gangster” AJ to meet him face-to-face and deal with their dispute “like men”, hinting he would release further damning messages if he didn’t.

Their feud began publicly in June when Froch shared screenshots of messages from Joshua and called it “embarrassing.”

Joshua had previously described Froch as a “jerk” in an interview before backing him up and sending him a video counting money, saying: “Get on my level.”

“I’ve shared 10 percent of the posts. I mean, it’s kid stuff,” Froch told BestOnlinePokerSites.

“I think he’ll be embarrassed by that. I’ve shared it because why should someone in this position abuse me and call me that?”

Joshua has plenty to do in the coming months as he has a date lined up with Daniel Dubois on September 21 at Wembley for a fight for the vacant IBF world heavyweight title.

Joshua, a two-time former unified world heavyweight champion, has been rebuilding his career after a difficult period.

Between 2019 and 2022 he lost three of his five fights: one to Andy Ruiz Jr. and two to Oleksandr Usyk.

Since then, however, he has won four fights in a row, including a quick knockout of Francis Ngannou in March in Saudi Arabia.
