A camper was left shocked when he discovered an abandoned school in the middle of the bush.
Peter Signorini was looking for a stealth campground when he came across the abandoned school building in Victoria.
He was even more surprised to find a stocked pantry, an ’80s plugged-in telephone, numerous teacher coffee mugs on the wall, and a handful of school camp papers on a nearby bank.

The disused school was in a remarkable condition, as the teachers’ room (pictured above) illustrates
Mr. Signorini also discovered a set of coffee mugs (pictured) that were almost for teachers
Mr. Signorini later posted his findings on the Old and abandoned Australia Facebook page.
“I later learned from a colleague who ran it that it was an old school used as a camp,” he said.
After the wildfires on Black Saturday in 2009, rebuilding and running all became too much.
‘Their dormitories burned down, but the school was saved. So now it just sits there quietly. ‘
Mr Signorini’s remarkable find drew a lot of attention on Facebook, with nearly 600 likes and more than 100 comments on Tuesday afternoon.

One member said it was ‘amazing’ that the school had not been attacked by vandals, while another suggested that the site ‘should be turned into a historic school and protected’.
A third member stated, “The ambiguity has left it untouched, which is great … and it should be left that way.”
