Saturday’s college football game between Miami and Louisville has gone viral, and not because of the No. 6 Hurricanes’ 52-45 victory over their hometown Cardinals.
ESPN cameramen have been alternately criticized and hailed by fans for a bizarre close-up of the Louisville cheerleaders at a crucial moment in the game.
With the Cardinals advancing late in the quarter, fans got an up-close look at the back of the Louisville dance team as they performed for the crowd at L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium.
‘That’s someone’s daughter!’ wrote one reviewer on X in response to the clip.
Many of the other responses focused on thanking ESPN for the insight.

In fact, it’s been a big week for eagle-eyed videographers with questionable motives.
In the New York Knicks’ preseason finale against the Wizards, MSG Network cameras in Washington captured the awkward moment when a couple began arguing in the crowd.
With MSG Network studio host Bill Pidto reading a promo as the broadcast returned from commercial, a man and woman wearing replica Knicks jerseys appeared in the crowd at Capital One Arena.
Only instead of popcorn or a large drink, they shared an intense conversation with those around them.

Curiously, as the woman became more excited, the man seemed to withdraw and began to look into the distance as the game returned from a timeout.
A lot of responses focused on MSG Network’s decision to stick with the arguing couple during what could have been a more private moment.
‘Why do they keep the camera on him?’ asked one fan online.
“It’s not cool to have the camera pointed at them like that,” another added.
