The host of the Call Her Daddy podcast has slammed Kamala Harris for spending $100,000 on a fake “cardboard” set for their presidential campaign interview.
Alex Cooper, whose show is the fourth most popular podcast in the US, said she was stunned when she found out how much the set cost, which she said was “not that fun”.
During Harris’ surprise appearance on the podcast on Oct. 6, Ms. Cooper said the Democratic campaign had rebuilt the set in a “random house,” reportedly at the cost of $100,000 from its $1 billion war chest.
In a recent interview at the New York Time DealBook Summit, the 30-year-old said, “My beautiful studio in Los Angeles doesn’t even cost six figures, so I don’t know how cardboard walls can cost six figures. .
‘With love for them, it was beautiful, but it wasn’t that much fun.’
Vice President Harris’ failed bid for the presidency has been heavily criticized for the large amount of money the short 100-day campaign cost.
This included an eye-watering $494 million in advertising alone. The New York Post reported that $900,000 had been spent on a huge presidential ad on the Las Vegas Sphere.
Despite this expensive splurge, Harris lost Nevada, making President-elect Trump the first Republican candidate to carry the state since 2004.

Ms. Cooper has been heavily criticized for what many listeners called her softball interview with the Democratic nominee.
The podcast host faced backlash for not addressing issues like illegal immigration or President Biden’s handling of Hurricane Helene — which had caused devastation across the American South just days earlier.
Ms Cooper has since defended the episode. She said: “They contacted me and I realized this might not be the case in another election and who knows what I will do in future elections.
“But in this particular election, the whole focus is on women’s bodies and we’re losing rights every day, and so to have the most popular female podcast, where the most women listen to the show in the country, it felt like a no. -brainteaser.
Ms. Cooper said she had previously made a point of avoiding politics on her show, but came to the decision to sit down with Harris.
She said she was hesitant at first, but agreed after asking herself, “How am I going to not do this as a woman?”
“How am I going to look back at myself one day, if I ever have children, and look back on this decision? I’m really proud that I did it.’
Ms. Cooper also recently revealed that Call Her Daddy also tried to get Trump to appear on the podcast, but his campaign declined.
The interview with Harris has been viewed by more than 900,000 people. But this paled in comparison to the 52 million viewers who watched Trump’s appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast.
Mr Rogan previously revealed there were talks for Harris to appear on the show, but plans fell through as she refused to travel to his studio in Austin, saying the interview could only last an hour.

By comparison, the Trump campaign spent a total of about $750 million, the Financial Times reports.
There is evidence that the race was much more expensive than that.
The Harris campaign, its affiliated PACs and the Democratic National Committee collected more than $2.3 billion in political contributions.
Donald Trump’s team, affiliated PACs and the Republican National Committee have raised $1.8 billion. After raising nearly $4.2 billion, they spent a combined $3.5 billion on the presidential race, making it the most expensive contest ever, according to the FT analysis.
Despite spending less, Trump ultimately defeated Harris in the electoral and popular vote — something the Republican Party hasn’t done in decades.
