A California man mysteriously disappeared after taking an Uber ride home.
Spencer Pease, 23, of Auburn, allegedly took an Uber from Santa Rosa before he was dropped off in Placer County on Sunday, a trip of at least two hours one way.
He has not been seen since. The Placer County Sheriff’s Office is urging the public to help locate Pease, who is considered “at risk.”
It’s still unclear what makes the 23-year-old man “at risk,” but in the state of California, an at-risk person can include: the missing person is a victim of crime or foul play, needs immediate medical attention, or people with mental disabilities – including cognitive and developmental disabilities, CA.gov reported.

The Placer County Sheriff’s Office communications manager told DailyMail.com that Pease was on his way to see his family, but when he didn’t arrive and they couldn’t locate him, police were notified and immediately began investigating.
It was also confirmed to DailyMail.com that Uber dropped Pease off at his intended location.
So far, investigators have tried to determine which direction Pease went after he was dropped off, but there are no clues yet.
Pease reportedly took an Uber from Santa Rosa before he was dropped off near Lincoln Way and Russel Road in Placer County, about a two-hour drive, but has not been seen since he was dropped off.
Twenty-three-year-old Pease is considered an “at risk” person and is described as being five feet 10 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds, with blonde hair and green eyes.
The Placer County Sheriff’s Office told DailyMail.com they do not believe it was a kidnapping, but Pease still remains unreachable.
