"Milat … would have killed several women around the same time and in an area where Lyn was seen", he told 7 news.
He added that the victims of Milat were often hitchhikers, and noted that Mrs. Dawson could not drive.
Mrs Dawson's body has never been found.
Milat was convicted of killing seven women aged 19 to 22 in New South Wales between 1989 and 1993.
He was in prison in July 1996 and serves seven life sons at the maximum safety center of Goulburn, as well as 18 years without conditional release.

Former gym teacher Chris Dawson was arrested this year on December 6 and is being held in the Silverwater prison awaiting a bail on Friday
Former assistant commissioner Clive Small says, however, that the connection between Milat and Mrs. Dawson & # 39; does not fit.
Mr. Small led the Milat study and noted that he & # 39; the women & # 39; of his victims & # 39; liked & # 39; and that there were none of Mrs. Dawson.
Peter Dawson (pictured) said that Milat was known for picking up hitchhikers and that Mrs. Dawson & # 39; could not ride & # 39;
He also said that the other women were all picked up in a different area than where Mrs. Dawson had disappeared.

The Dawson & # 39; s were in the midst of the marriage counseling in 1982 because of an affair that Mr. Dawson had with one of his students, Joanne Curtis.
Mrs Dawson was missing on 9 January 1982, but it took six weeks for Mr Dawson to report her missing, and at that time he had asked Mrs Curtis to come with him.
Mrs. Curtis and Mr. Dawson married around 1985 and she became a mother & # 39; for the two children – Shanelle and Sherryn – Lyn and Chris had had together.
In 1990, Ms. Curtis and Mr. Dawson broke up and she urged the police to investigate Mr. Dawson's garden on a body.
Eventually the police found a pink cardigan from Mrs. Dawson, buried in the garden, and two coronets found that Mrs. Dawson had been killed by a well-known person.
