San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffrey could soon be tying the knot after his fiancée Olivia Culpo revealed that the “countdown” to their wedding has begun.
The running back has been dating the Sports Illustrated model for almost five years and McCaffrey proposed to her in April 2023.
Now Culpo, Miss Universe 2012, has hinted that the big day is not far away.
“The countdown is on,” Culpo, 31, said. People. ‘It’s happening.’
“I really want to marry my best friend,” she said. ‘I’m very excited for the next chapter and I feel very lucky. He’s a great guy.’

Culpo has previously given fans hints about what to expect on the wedding day. In March, she said she wanted the couple’s golden toy, Oliver Sprinkles, to be part of the ceremony.
“I really want him to be the ring bearer,” she wrote.
The model recently said that deciding on the guest list has been “by far the hardest part” of wedding planning.
“It’s logistically complicated,” he told People.
“Finding out what everyone is going to wear, figuring out where everyone is going to stay, and making sure everyone is happy.”
McCaffrey played a starring role when the 49ers reached the Super Bowl in February, only for San Francisco to lose in overtime to the Chiefs.
