Brittany Hockley has been thrilled by her friends’ reaction to her engagement to Swiss professional footballer Benjamin Siegrist.
Hockley shared the heartwarming news on her Instagram account on Wednesday, showing off her stunning diamond ring in a series of joyful photos.
The Bachelor star also shared the exciting news with good friends Laura Byrne and Keeshia Pettit on their Life Uncut podcast on Wednesday.
On Sunday, she shared a clip of herself remembering the touching moment her friends learned the happy news.
Brittany reacted with joy and surprise upon seeing the clip, laughing, clapping, and at times on the verge of tears.

She wrote in the caption: ‘Because I just want these moments to live here forever!! We are watching the original announcement video for the first time….
‘I’ve seen it so many times and now I’m watching a video of me watching a video announcing my engagement to my best friends!’ She continued.
‘At that moment I felt so beautiful and healthy and when I saw him again I couldn’t stop laughing and crying. I get all the feels and I can’t get enough.’
The 36-year-old surprised her friends by pretending to be reading a listener’s email, before finally announcing that the happy news was actually about her.

‘At that moment I felt so beautiful and healthy and when I saw him again I couldn’t stop laughing and crying. I’ve got all the feels and I can’t get enough,” she wrote in her caption.
‘I’ve been single for the best part of ten years and I was always the single friend who watched all my friends fall in love, which made me very happy. But it was definitely hard because I love, I love,” he began.
‘I started to think maybe it wasn’t for me. Then in 2022, I met this amazing guy, but he lived abroad. My friends were very worried because long distance is never easy and I’ve always had commitment issues, but this time he felt different and I thought it was worth it.’
‘Fast forward to now and I have never been happier. And last week on a beautiful island he asked me to be his wife. And I just want to know what’s a cute way to tell my friends I’m getting married,” Brittany read, fighting back tears.
‘You’re crying?’ A bewildered Byrne asked Hockley, still believing her friend was reading a listener’s email.

‘My God, honey, I’m so happy for you. I love you very much,’ Laura added when she realized.
Confetti quickly emerged as Hockley admitted “it’s me”, before her friends screamed with excitement.
Byrne, audibly amazed, joked: “Jono with the confetti.” Did you tell Jono before us? Did you tell Jono before me!?
‘My God, honey, I’m so happy for you. I love you so much,’ Laura added after hugging her best friend.
Brittany captioned the post: “Life without cuts is like my family, such special people and a special part of my life.” I couldn’t wait to share my news with you all and in true LU fashion, it was pure chaos, but possibly my favorite moment so far.’
Hockley went Instagram official with Swiss goalkeeper Benjamin in January last year with a sweet post.
The couple met in November 2022 on celebrity dating app Raya and at the time, the goalkeeper’s football team, Glasgow-based Celtic FC, was playing in Australia against Sydney FC.
They often split their time between Australia and Scotland, where Benjamin currently lives.
Last July, Benjamin revealed his plans to move to Australia to be with Brittany, as they are currently making their long-distance relationship work.
In October last year, the stunner revealed to Daily Mail Australia that she and Benjamin would be spending Christmas and New Year’s together in Scotland.
