Billion mark: Unipart offers logistics and supply chain services in 27 countries

British logistics company Unipart recorded sales of over £1bn for the first time last year.

Unipart was created in 1974 as the spare parts division of British Leyland, once the UK’s largest car manufacturer.

He separated from the group when chief executive John Neill organized a management buyout of the business in 1987.

Unipart now offers logistics and supply chain services in 27 countries. Airbus, Volkswagen, Vodafone, Three and the NHS are among the Oxford-based company’s customers.

The company is majority owned by its 12,000 workers, making it one of the largest employee-owned companies in the UK.

Yesterday it said revenue soared 14.2 per cent to £1.05bn last year, up from £917.3m the year before.

Profits reached £21.7m in 2023, compared to £12.2m in 2022.
