A British father and son were injured after a fire ripped through an apartment block in Thailand in the early hours of Friday morning.
The family members, identified by police as Victor Misell, 73, and his son Daniel, 51, fled the property when a glass window exploded from the heat, sending shards toward them.
Paramedic Thaksin Tienkhao, 25, was also injured while helping to evacuate residents of View Talay Residence 5 in the Jomtien area of Pattaya.
The owner of the room, Daniel, suffered from smoke inhalation, while his father, Victor, suffered burns to parts of his body. Both are being treated at the hospital.
Police Colonel Navin Thirawit, superintendent of Pattaya City Police Station, said: “We sent officers to inspect the scene and found that the source of the fire was in room 612, which was severely damaged before the flames spread. to other rooms.”

The neighbors were rescued in the early hours of the morning by emergency services.
Firefighters sprayed with hoses for about 30 minutes before successfully extinguishing the fire.
Many fire victims suffered injuries from smoke inhalation.
Rescuers used a lift truck to evacuate some of the residents before providing first aid and taking them to Pattaya City Hospital for treatment.
“As for the injured, two foreigners suffered burns to their bodies, many victims suffered from smoke inhalation, and one rescuer was injured by a cut glass.”
“We are investigating the cause of the fire and will contact forensic police to join in the inspection of the premises.”
Officers said they received an emergency call on Nov. 1 at 2:46 a.m.
Police and firefighters arrived at the popular seven-story condominium and evacuated dozens of British residents, many of whom were suffocating from the smoke.
Authorities also found frightened tourists using flashlights to call for help.
