The woman who won a civil rape claim against Conor McGregor is taking legal action to stop him publishing evidence of CCTV footage shown in court.
Nikita Hand was awarded more than €248,000 (£206,000) after a Dublin jury concluded the 36-year-old MMA megastar “brutally raped” and “beat” the former colorist in the penthouse of a Dublin hotel in December. of 2018.
Nikita told the High Court that McGregor “pinned her down” to the bed, strangled her three times and left her thinking she was “going to die.”
“I just let him do what he had to do, to survive,” he said of the attack during an alcohol- and cocaine-fueled Christmas “party.”
She is now pushing to have CCTV footage, which shows her interacting with McGregor and his friend James Lawrence in the hotel lift and car park before and after entering the penthouse, out of circulation.
Hand’s lawyer, Siún Leonowicz, instructed by Coleman Legal Services, said today that her client was seeking to prevent the images from being published or disseminated through a court order.
Hand’s lawyer, David Coleman, said in a sworn statement that local media had reported that Gabriel Ernesto Rapisarda, a business partner of McGregor, indicated there would be an “imminent” release of CCTV footage used during the trial of his claim. .
Rapisarda runs the company Gabriel and Spirits, which is responsible for distributing McGregor’s black beer in Italy.

Mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor and his partner Dee Devlin were seen arriving at the High Court in Dublin for the civil rape case against them on November 22, 2024.
Coleman said Rapsardia wanted to release CCTV to help boost sales of McGregor’s drink.
During cross-examination at the trial, Hand denied that the footage contradicted her claims, adding that it was a “very tough watch” as she was drunk and stumbling around, a far cry from her normal character.
Coleman said the release of the footage is in “contempt of court” and that its “sole purpose” would be to “undermine and discredit the court’s verdict and, in doing so, make money.”
The attorney said he was interested in ensuring that the hearing on the court motion be moved to Thursday to allow the court to consider McGregor’s alleged “continued contempt.”
He added that Judge Alexander Owens, the judge overseeing the case, is already due in court that day to address McGregor’s description of the court as a “kangaroo court” on social media.
During the trial, Hand enjoyed massive public support, including a protest march which was held in Dublin city centre.
The demonstration was organized by the feminist group Rosa to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on November 25.
Participants chanted “support Nikita” and “no more fear, no more shame; we reject your victim blaming” as they carried signs and banners through the streets of the capital.
Natasha O’Brien, a participant in the protest, told the Irish Daily Mail: “I am here today to stand in solidarity with Nikita for the heartbreaking trial she had to fight with every part of her.”
Last month, McGregor’s fiancée jumped to his defense with a furious social media rant against Nikita.
Dee Devlin took to Instagram to launch a vicious attack on Ms Hand, telling her: “My children will be warned that there are women like you in the world.”
In the messages, Devlin described Hand as a party girl who had sent “provocative photos of herself” to McGregor.

McGregor lost a civil case brought by Nikita Hand, 35, (pictured) who won almost €250,000 in damages after she alleged he raped her in a Dublin hotel on December 9, 2018.

He then launched into a furious tirade directed at Mrs Hand in which he made a series of astonishing accusations before adding: “My children will be warned that there are women like you in the world.”

James Lawrence, mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor’s co-defendant, had his friend pay his legal fees. Hand also accused McGregor’s friend James Lawrence, 35, of assaulting her that day. The jury decided that Ms Hand was assaulted by McGregor, but not by her co-accused Lawrence.
Writing on Instagram, she said: ‘Imagine a WOMAN, with her own boyfriend and son, texting provocative photos of herself to another woman’s man with a family and a child on the way.
‘This woman claims to know me, but she still went ahead and sent messages and photos of herself over and over again to my man?’ Actually?
‘While he was on a three-day bender, he was texting excuses to his own son at home where mom is on Saturday afternoon, Saturday night, Sunday morning, Sunday afternoon, Sunday Sunday night until Monday morning.
‘All the time out of his face in a hotel room dancing around a hotel parking lot. What kind of WOMAN are you!!!
‘My children will be warned that there are women like you in the world.’
Ms Devlin, McGregor’s partner of 15 years, arrived hand in hand with McGregor to the hearings and comforted him when the verdict was delivered, and also claimed that there was CCTV which would cast doubt on Ms Hand’s version of events. .
She wrote: ‘CCTV DOESN’T LIE. I look forward to the day when the world sees the images of you from that night and your evolution. It’s not a bother that you have the time of your life.
‘This is the real evidence, video footage that no one knew was being taken at the time and that you miraculously don’t remember.
—It seems to me that you are the one who sexually assaults you in the elevator. It seems to me that everyone is trying to get away from you.
‘Conor and I discussed these issues privately many years ago, as a relationship should, and we have come out stronger than ever. We now have four beautiful children whose smiling faces and happy hearts are a testament to who he is and who we are!
‘They without sin cast the first stone.’
