British Airways cabin crew sacked over racist video mocking Asian passengers where one made slant-eyed gesture and put on Chinese accent to demand ‘Give me wine’

Two British Airways crew members have been fired for making an “obscene” racist video in which they mocked Asian passengers by making slant-eyed gestures and using a Chinese accent.

Holly Walton and Lauren Bray were both fired from the airline after the clip surfaced on TikTok.

In it, Ms. Walton wears a blue dress with red-tinted glasses on her head and says in a Chinese accent, “Give me some wine.”

She then appears to be gesturing with slanted eyes as a bottle of Antigua’s national beer, Wadadli, sits on the table in front of her.

The video was allegedly filmed with his colleague Ms Bray, who has since deactivated her Instagram account.

A caption reads at the bottom of the clip: “2 more weeks with this asshole. »

The pair were cabin crew on flight BA2157 from Gatwick and were believed to have been between flights when they made the video at the luxury Trade Winds hotel in Antigua.

Outraged colleagues said they were mocking a Chinese family on board a busy flight who spoke little English.

An employee of Asian descent said she was “shaken” by the clip, which was widely shared on TikTok and viewed more than a million times.

Another said the women were “deliberately mocking” the family, which “sends the worst possible message”.

Ms Walton was ordered to return from a return trip to Cancun, Mexico, for Monday’s showdown meeting with BA bosses at the airline’s headquarters, The Sun reported, where the two men were fired.

Ms Bray reportedly left the meeting in tears.

A BA crew member said The sun: ‘This recording is obscene. For anyone to have such racist thoughts, then film them and share them with the world, is both shocking and stupid.

“This is extremely damaging to the airline and it deserved the axe.”

An airline spokesperson said: “All forms of racism are completely unacceptable and we take allegations of this nature very seriously.

“These two people are no longer employed by us.”
