Daredevil Aussie cliff jumper coughs up BLOOD after heartbreaking stunt goes horribly wrong

  • He landed heavily on the ‘concrete’ water surface and ruptured his lungs
  • Aussie adventurer said he felt ‘paralyzed’ after brutal jump into popular dam

A daring cliff diver has described feeling ‘paralyzed’ after a brutal stunt caused his lungs to rupture and he suffered severe migraines.

Self-proclaimed ‘Aussie adventurer’ Sam Buchwald posted the heartbreaking footage, filmed at Clarence Dam in the Blue Mountains, on TikTok on Wednesday.

The video shows the stuntman launching himself off a rock wall onto a rope swing and doing three somersaults before landing heavily on his back in the water.

The brash stuntman launched himself off the cliff and tipped over three times before landing heavily on his back on the ‘concrete’ water surface

When the brave diver returns to the rocky cliff, he coughs up blood and is forced to bend over to catch his breath as concerned friends pat him on the back.

Then he stretches out on his back and covers his face with his hands in pain.

“Honestly, I didn’t break my neck… was brutal,” he captioned the video.

One viewer said he was surprised that the daredevil was injured in the apparently successful stunt.

‘That jump looked so clean? What happened? Did he hit bottom or something?” the user asked.

“The blow caused tears and a few bruises on my lungs, hence the blood I’m coughing up,” replied the adventurer.

‘I landed with my neck on standing water 10 meters high, it’s like hitting concrete. I felt like I had paralyzed myself when I was in the water.’

Another viewer said the stuntman had landed too far on his third somersault, with the surface impact of the water hitting his back causing the internal hemorrhage.

“That jump is cursed, the same thing happened to me, except I didn’t do the flip part,” commented another.

The Clarence Dam in the Blue Mountains, 75 miles west of Sydney’s CBD, is a popular cliff jumping spot due to its deep water and many rope swings.
