Brad Fletcher: Shock twist as the fragile medical condition that plagued alleged cagefighting murder victim Bradley Evennett is revealed

The man allegedly killed in a fight at a suburban home in Sydney’s west suffered from a medical condition that left him with fragile and brittle bones.

Now his family have responded to claims that Bradley Evennett, 32, was involved in martial arts and had been mentored in cage fighting by his alleged killer, Brad Fletcher, 38.

The couple were photographed kissing in a haunting final social media post just weeks before Evennett’s death.

But Fletcher was arrested by police after he was allegedly found hiding in bushes near Mr Evennett’s body, which had been dumped near his home.

Fletcher was accused of killing Mr Evennett just hours after the couple moved into their new home together on Annan Avenue in Melonba, near Mt Druitt, on Friday night.

NSW Police allege Fletcher killed Mr Evennett between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Friday, March 22.

They claim he then drove her body 700 meters down the road and left it on a trail where it was discovered by a mother who was walking with her two children.

Friends of Bradley Evennett (above) say he had a lifelong bone marrow condition that made him prone to fractures.

The two men (above with a woman believed to be Brad Fletcher’s ex-girlfriend) were friends before the alleged murder.

In the wake of the tragedy, friends and family of Mr Evennett dismissed suggestions that he was involved in martial arts fights.

They revealed that he “always had a bone marrow problem where his bones broke easily throughout his life,” one said.

He is funny and humble, and not at all a fighter. He was such an amazing person.”

The close relative added: “He was not a cage fighter, he was not starting a career in MMA and had no intention of doing so.”

Mr Evennett’s bone marrow disease meant that he had to be careful with even the simplest movements and could never be involved in any type of physical fight.

Detectives allegedly found the Annan Avenue home in a state “consistent with a fight” after they searched it following the discovery of Mr Evennett’s body lying on nearby Georgina Crescent.

Police said in a statement that they “found a man deceased with significant injuries to the head and body and paramedics from New South Wales Ambulance arrived and treated the man, however he died at the scene.”

A new photo shows Brad Fletcher (left) and Bradley Evennett (right) just seven weeks before moving into a Melonba home together.

NSW Police allege Fletcher murdered Mr Evennett and dumped his body 700 meters from his new home (pictured, officers at Melonba home).

Bradley Evennett’s body was discovered with “significant head and body injuries” by a mother and her two children (pictured on CCTV) on Friday night.

Shortly afterward, police were called to a near-collision with a parked car involving a vehicle that was allegedly used to transport Mr. Evennett’s body to the location where it was dumped.

Police then “located and arrested a man who had hidden in the bushes” and took him to Mt Druitt police station.

“The mother who made the shocking discovery of Mr Evennett’s body on the footpath described how she first passed by the spot and saw ‘nothing’, but when I returned after 10 minutes the man was here, I saw him,” she said. nine news.

Emergency services arrived at the scene at around 8.45pm but were unable to revive Mr Evennett.

Fletcher was charged with murder and formally refused bail at Parramatta Local Court on Sunday.

The close friendship between Evennett and Fletcher seems evident in a photo that shows the couple sitting near a couch with Evennett kissing Fletcher’s cheek.

The photo was taken just seven weeks before Mr Evennett’s death.

In another photo with a pregnant woman, believed to be Fletcher’s ex-partner, the alleged victim has her arm around Fletcher’s shoulder.

Bradley Evennett (pictured) has been remembered as a “gentle giant”

Officers (pictured) were seen at the Annan Ave home on Sunday as investigations continue under Strike Force Wilty.

Paramedics at the scene tried, but failed, to resuscitate Bradley Evennett (pictured, a blood stain across the street from the house).
