Talking about the Pod meets the worldDanielle explained: ‘I was recently diagnosed with DCIS, which stands for ductal carcinoma in situ, which is a form of breast cancer.

Despite this, Danielle remains optimistic and insists that “everything is going to be okay.”

She said, ‘I’m going to be fine. I’m going to have surgery to remove it.

“I’m going to have to undergo treatment. I’ve had to make a lot of decisions in the last few days.”

Danielle is grateful the problem was caught “so, so, so early,” and the actress has encouraged her fans to get checked out too.

She said: ‘The only reason I caught this cancer when it was still stage zero was because the day I got my text saying my annual mammogram was here, I made the appointment.

“They found him so, so, so early that there won’t be any problems. I hope this encourages someone to come.”

Danielle also acknowledged that her treatment could hamper her podcast series.

The actress shared: ‘I have some big decisions ahead of me about what I want to do for treatment. I don’t have all the answers yet.

“I wanted to let our dear listeners know. We’re going to try not to let it affect things, but there is a chance we might have to put everything on hold depending on the treatments I’m undergoing.”
