An eight-year-old German boy had to be rescued by the police after he had taken his mother's car on a joy of 87 mph over the motorway.
The boy's mother, who is not mentioned, reported him missing along with her automatic VW Golf from the family's home in Soest at 12.25 pm Wednesday.
Officers found the boy about an hour later about five miles away in a resting place along the A44 motorway, on the way to Dortmund.

When the boy was confronted, he told officers he & # 39; just wanted to drive a little & # 39; but the car stopped after he started feeling unwell.

The boy's mother explained to officers that he regularly drives bumper cars and go-karts, and learned to drive full-size cars on private property.
Fortunately, no property or people were injured during the late night joyride.
The police posted the incident on Facebook along with a picture of the boy, without saying whether legal action would be taken against the family.
