A three-year-old boy has died in a tragic car crash in Tasmania.
The little boy was traveling in his mother’s black Holden Barina early Friday morning when police say she lost control and crashed into trees.
The 24-year-old mother and her four-year-old daughter were also injured.
The accident took place on Bridport Road in Lefroy, in the north-east of the island.

A passerby helped the family before paramedics arrived and took the children to George Town Hospital.
The boy was pronounced dead a short time later.
The girl was transferred to Launceston General Hospital with minor injuries, where her mother is also being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are investigating the accident.
“At this point we don’t know why the vehicle left the road and why it was on the road at that time,” Acting Inspector Jason Jones said.
