After 11 years as a coach, Blake Shelton has announced that he will be leaving The Voice after next season.
The 46-year-old Qatari singer revealed his departure in a lengthy statement posted on his Instagram account on Tuesday, where he also shouted to his fellow coach and his wife, Gwen Stefani.
As Blake announced his exit, NBC revealed that Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper are joining the show next year as coaches.

In his statement, Blake wrote, “I’ve been grappling with this for a while and decided it was time for me to step away from The Voice after Season 23.
This show has changed my life in every way for the better and it will always make me feel at home. It’s been an amazing journey over 12 years of running the chair and I want to thank everyone at NBC’s The Voice, every producer, writers, musicians, crew, and caterers, you are the best.
“It takes a lot of work, passion and adult drinks (ha!) to pull off a live show twice a week. I’ve made lifelong bonds with Carson and every fellow trainer over the years, including my wife, Gwen Stefani!
I must give a big shout out to the singers – ‘The Voices’ who come on stage season after season and wow us with their talent and a special thank you to those who chose me to be their coach.

Just before Blake’s big announcement, NBC revealed that Niall and Chance will be joining the show next season as coaches.
The show shared a snapshot of a peace emoji tagging Blake, Kelly Clarkson, Chance, and Niall.

Currently, Shelton is working as a trainer alongside Camila Cabello, John Legend and his wife, Gwen Stefani.
Blake has been a coach for The Voice since its inception in 2011. He was among the panel of coaches that included Christina Aguilera, Silo Green, and Adam Levine.

Over the years, the show has attracted great talent to serve as coaches including Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, and Miley Cyrus.

The singer was previously married to Kaynette Gern from 2003 until 2006, and to Miranda Lambert from 2011 until 2015.

No Doubt was also married to Gavin Rossdale from 2002 until 2016, and the couple welcomed sons Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo, ages 16, 13, and 8, over the course of their marriage.
The couple has now announced that they have separated from their wives and started dating in November of 2015.
Shelton and Stephanie continued their engagement in 2020, tying the knot during a wedding that took place at a former ranch in Oklahoma in July last year.
