Blake Lively received the “best compliment” of her “life” last weekend when she was called a “crown smoother” for how she supports other women in the industry.
The actress, 36, took to Instagram on Thursday to write a touching post about what he means to her, along with a slideshow of photos with some of her loved ones.
The unique compliment means that you are a woman who “goes around straightening the crowns of all the women around her.”
Blake enthused: “It meant a lot to me because it’s those invisible things that people see that make us feel better. I learned that we are all brilliant leaders, stronger together, from ALL the women in my life, blood and chosen.
“I’m surrounded by hair straighteners. This weekend was filled with that empowering feminine energy. When I looked back at these photos, I saw it all in action. And it made me feel so lucky and loved.”

The Gossip Girl star, who has four daughters with her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, 47, then named some examples of the women around her who inspire her, along with photos of them together.
She posted a photo with Colleen Hoover, 44, where the actress is tying the It Ends With Us author’s dress for her in a bathroom, also tagging Colleen’s “best friend” Tarryn Fisher, who Blake dubbed a “powerful person.”
The star went on to praise her “divine mother-in-law”, who she is seen lovingly hugging in another snap, and her “generous and loving” fellow actress Isabela Ferrer, who plays young Lily in the upcoming adaptation of Hoover’s novel.
From tying her shoes to fixing her friends’ hair and adjusting her lipstick on a red carpet, the actress proved that she always takes care of the women in her life, just like they do for her.
Blake paid tribute to makeup artist Vivian Baker and hairstylist Jennifer Yepez, whom she credits with making her “feel more beautiful inside and out.”
Near the end of her list, she joked: ‘To the women of @sonypictures who put in a HUGE effort to make joy look easy, especially Danni, Emily, Cori, Bridgette, Rose, Chrissy, Gloria, Stephanie and Ulga.

Blake plays Lily Bloom, a woman who begins a passionate and then abusive relationship with Ryle Kincaid (Justin Baldoni, 40), before the shocking return of her ex Atlas Corrigan (Brandon Sklenar, 32).
The film follows the plot of the best-selling book and is directed by Baldoni.
Hoover previously revealed that It Ends With Us was “the hardest book I’ve ever written” as it is based on the relationship between her parents.
In 2019, the book sold more than a million copies worldwide and was translated into more than 20 different languages.
The book received another boost in popularity in late 2021 thanks to the #BookTok community on TikTok.
Since 2019, the book has been published in 43 languages.
It Ends With Us was the best-selling print book of 2022 and remained on the New York Times Best Seller list for more than 90 weeks.
Hoover is the best-selling author in the United States with more than 20 million books sold, and her sequel to It Ends With Us, titled It Starts With Us, is due out in October 2022.
