Blake Lively made a rather scathing statement about having “privacy security” on the set of It Ends With Us.
The 36-year-old actress seemingly slammed her co-star and director Justin Baldoni amid claims he made her feel “uncomfortable” and that there was tension on the set of the film.
In an interview with Digital Spy Posted on Saturday, Lively opened up about working with intimacy coordinators for passionate, touching scenes in the new romantic drama.
Speaking to the outlet, she drew attention to the importance of having intimacy coordinators who work with the cast on set to choreograph those on-screen actions in a “safe” manner.
Her seemingly veiled comments come after claims surfaced that Baldoni made her feel “uncomfortable” during filming.

When asked about privacy safety specifically on set, Lively responded, “That’s a good question. I think it’s critical to have an intimacy coordinator.”
He noted that every other movement sequence is carefully choreographed on a film set before adding that intimate scenes require the same level of care and guidance.
“I think it’s like coordinating stunts, coordinating dance. It’s like choreography,” he said.
“So, to be able to say, you know, this is what happens here, here, and here in a stunt; and this is what happens here, here, and here in a dance. But, now you just go… you put your bodies together and your mouths together and whatever. And just, action and cut… that’s kind of ridiculous,” he explained.
“That’s why I think choreography is essential for everyone’s safety,” she concluded.
Her response seemed especially direct after claims surfaced that Baldoni made her feel “uncomfortable” during filming.
Lively was “shamed about her weight” by Baldoni and reportedly felt “uncomfortable” by a kissing scene.
Fueling the flames of an alleged feud, Baldoni also addressed “friction” on set and hired a crisis manager amid the drama.

The romantic drama, adapted from Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel of the same name, follows a woman named Lily Bloom (Lively) as she experiences a fairy-tale romance that goes awry when handsome neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid (Baldoni) turns abusive.
It is then that she reunites with her childhood love, Atlas Corrigan, and relies on him throughout (Brandon Sklenar).
It Ends With Us is now in theaters.
