Bizarre moment when a truck passes TWO traffic lights while cutting a corner before continuing as if it never happened

  • A truck driver knocked down two traffic lights at a botched left turn
  • The bizarre incident shows the trailer slowly around the corner
  • A passenger in a trailing car filmed the truck and posted the clip on social media

A truck driver who drastically misjudged a turn to the left has knocked down two sets of traffic lights in a bizarre driving error on a suburban street.

The accident in Laverton, west Melbourne, was captured on video by a passenger in a towing car who posted the clip on TikTok.

The trailer is seen climbing up the sidewalk as it crawls around the tight corner, but then mows down the first lights.

The driver continues to maneuver around the corner as if he had noticed, and seconds later another set of lights are mowed down and torn from the ground.

It is not clear if the driver will stop following the failed corner, but in the video the truck appears to be continuing on its way.

Daily Mail Australia contacted the motorist who filmed the incident for more information.

Social media users went berserk with the video.

What was he thinking? That wasn’t even close to a good turn! ‘they wrote.

Others joked, “I didn’t need those lights anyway” and “at least the light was on.”

Another wrote: ‘He just kept driving as if nothing was wrong. Haha ‘.

Some concluded that the truck looked ‘brand new’ and that the driver must have been ‘clearly very inexperienced’.

“I deal with truck drivers on a regular basis as part of my job and many of them are downright scary,” wrote one commenter.

“Some of them shouldn’t be out on the street, let alone operating heavy machinery.”

Victoria Police was unable to confirm whether anyone was fined or charged for the strange incident.
