Bill Maher joked that liberal women's sex strike after Donald Trump's victory is the first time: 'progressives have found a way to turn something blue'

Bill Maher joked that liberal women’s sex strike following Donald Trump’s victory is the first time “progressives have found a way to turn something blue.”

The Real Time host said that while half the country is “ecstatic,” Democratic women are “among the most p****d off” about the president-elect’s victory.

A number of liberal women have said they are swearing off dating, sex, marriage and children in protest of the election results as part of the so-called 4B movement that originated in South Korea.

“This is a big thing for every man who voted for Trump. All I can say is that progressives have finally found a way to turn something blue,” Maher joked on his show on Friday.

He further claimed that Trump has exacerbated liberals’ woes with his Cabinet picks this week.

Among them is Matt Gaetz, who has been nominated for attorney general, a choice that Maher says has caused the “most consternation.”

Gaetz has been under investigation by a House committee since 2021 over allegations of drug use, sexual misconduct and sending inappropriate images.

“A president typically wants an attorney general who is familiar with Justice Department investigations but not a target of them,” Maher joked. Gaetz has denied all allegations against him.

The comedian spoke about Gaetz’s goals during his time in office, which include getting rid of “three-letter” departments such as the FBI, as well as Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Department of Education.

He said there has been a lot of talk in Washington about streamlining the federal government, including the creation of the Department of Government Efficiency, led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy.

However, the president-elect has talked about cutting departments.

“Trump wants to get rid of the Department of Education, which would turn it back over to the United States,” Maher explained.

“That means, just like in Arkansas, you can be taught by nuns, and in New York you can be taught by drag queens.”

The “unorthodox” choices are “what happens when you lose an election,” Maher said.

“This is the Trump Party, and if he chooses Kanye to be ambassador to Israel, say hello to Yeezus of Nazareth.”

Trump’s most recent appointment was his sharp-tongued campaign spokesman Steven Cheung as communications director.

Cheung worked on all three Trump campaigns and previously worked in communications for the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

In addition, Trump announced Friday that Sergio Gor – an aide who previously worked for Republican Senator Rand Paul – will become director of the Presidential Personnel Office.

Another of the most polarizing nominations was Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services.
