Two days after defending the title in the DHB Cup final, the German handball champions SG BBM Bietigheim announced the next transfer for the coming season.
In the summer, the Swedish national player Sofia Hvenfelt is moving from the Danish first division side Copenhagen Handbold to the Enz. After the Hungarian right winger Dorottya Faluvegi, the circle player is the second reinforcement for the coming season.
“Sofia Hvenfelt is a player with extreme power and a big fighting heart,” said Bietigheim’s sporting director Gerit Winnen. The 26-year-old, who has scored nine goals in ten international matches so far, is ready to take “the next step in her development”. Danish line runner Annika Meyer, on the other hand, will leave the club after just one year.
Bietigheim eliminated from the Champions League
The women from Bietigheim, who are national leaders without losing points and the measure of all things, had recently left room for improvement in the Champions League.
With twelve points from 14 games, the German top club was eliminated in the preliminary round as the penultimate group A.
