Joe Biden has made another unfortunate blunder after inviting a young man on stage to wish him a happy birthday as his health deteriorates.
The president, 82, was singing into a microphone in front of a crowd full of people when he forgot the man’s name, leading to an awkward gap in the song.
The man took the blunder well and laughed it off when Biden’s voice dropped at the part of the song he didn’t know, before picking up again for the end of the song.
“Happy birthday, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to…” he sang into the microphone.
Video of the gaffe has now gone viral, prompting critics to brand the president an “embarrassment” and start the countdown to Donald Trump’s inauguration.
“Biden brought a man on stage to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to him… Problem is he doesn’t know his name or has forgotten it… and instead mumbles nonsense,” one person wrote.
“Joe Biden has no idea who he is singing Happy Birthday to, this administration is a joke,” another added.
Biden has faced mounting concerns about his health after dealing with a steady stream of accidents that worsened during his presidency.

Speculation was at an all-time high after his campaign-ending debate against Trump while he was still running for re-election. He appeared disheveled and slack-jawed, and Trump circled him at every opportunity.
In the wake of the backlash, he dropped out of the race and Kamala Harris became the Democrat nominee.
Since then, the president’s health has been in the news again The Wall Street Journal published a story on Dec. 19 about how aides dealt with a “diminished” president throughout his term.
The report found that aides would have to repeat obvious instructions to Biden — such as where to leave a podium, put other officials in roles usually filled by the president, cancel meetings on his “bad days” and ask him had to keep at a distance from his own cabinet members.
His tenure was littered with embarrassing blunders and blunders, including introducing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy as “President Putin” at the NATO summit in July, bumping into flagpoles and falling off bicycles.
Towards the end of 2023, President Biden suffered more and more embarrassing mishaps, indicating that he was not up to the task of governing the country for another four years.
At a private fundraising event in New York in September 2023, Biden repeated the same story twice within minutes, about how the events in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2017, and Donald Trump’s response, inspired him to run for the White House.

According to a White House account of the private event, he began speaking in a living room to about 20 people just after 4 p.m.
After speaking briefly about his economic record, he reflected on his decision to run for president and “talked about the events in Charlottesville” as a reason for his campaign, the report said.
“A few minutes later he retold the story, almost word for word,” the report said.

Two days later, on September 22, during a keynote speech in Washington, DC, Biden falsely praised the “Congressional Black Caucus” during a speech to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
Then came the June 2024 car crash debate with Trump, which ultimately cost him the presidential candidacy.
